The Milk Stealing Cats

For the milk-thristy stealers or the fanatical slurpers, there is a straw for you. This simple invention has not been tampered with in many years and is in need of a large renovation. Why not turn food into fun? Make the most ambitious 5th grader into the next Van Gogh.

A campaign from a U.S. milk company, Cravendale, is working to do just this. They have reinvented the bendy straw by adding in connectors and design competitions for the young/old alike. Their tiny pipe-fitting corners allow for milk to be drank from a distance and with just enough spunk. They have even begun offering secret codes on their labels that allow for contestants to collect 10 and receive three epic straws free with delivery! This crazy invention is something that is both laughable and quite unnecessary in nature. There truly doesn't seem to be a need to reinvent something that is currently not a problem for consumers. It has alluded to the fun factor that many customers may be looking for to brighten their days, but overall, it seems to be something that will get lost within the packaging of a milk carton. Too much innovation in something that doesn't seem to be needed is not only a waste of the company's time and money, but a clear path to people finding the overall product a joke. At least these videos will provide some type of comic relief.
